Dear Prime Minister Trudeau, Minister Rodriguez, and [MEMBERNAME], As you know, the Senate has finished its review of Bill C-11. During that process, they made several important amendments, such as preserving CRTC independence and exempting user-generated content. I urge you to support these changes and not try to undo them when the bill returns to the House of Commons. Please don't stifle Canada's independent content creators by forcing the CRTC to decide which of them will be allowed to be seen by a wide Canadian audience, which would inevitably hurt their international reach, as well. Reverting the Senate's changes to C-11 will hurt Canadian culture, not help it. Or better yet, just scrap C-11 altogether. Thank you.
